Amsterdam Dance Event 2013: In a year of monumental change, global industry moves forward
Over the course of the last week or so, Dancing Astronaut (along with hundreds of other media outlets from around the world) descended upon Amsterdam for the industry's largest gathering of the year -- Amsterdam Dance Event. Not just a conference in the traditional sense, ADE is more than a networking opportunity for dance music's power players -- it's also a festival that attracts a staggering number of fans to the charming Dutch city. We had our ears to the ground for the five day event, gathering insights and information about 2013 in retrospect and the future of 2014 and beyond. There was no way we could catch every panel or attend every party, but we sure tried our best.
Amsterdam Dance Event sets new records in its eighteenth year
One day away from the end of arguably the largest week in dance music of the year, we can already confirm this year was bigger and better than its ever been before. It is just as much a festival as it is a conference and networking opportunity for thousands of dance music professionals from around the world -- with 300,000 festival attendees and over 5,000 conference delegates clocking in this year.
With DJ Mag results looming, Tiësto confirms Hardwell as the number one DJ

ID&T announces 100 percent sale to SFX; CEO Duncan Stutterheim will head European office
On Thursday, the 2013 Amsterdam Dance Event held a highly anticipated Q&A session with SFX head of acquisitions Shelly Finkel and ID&T CEO/Founder Duncan Stutterheim where they announced SFX's 100-percent ownership of the Dutch event production company.
