Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – Wakanda (Wolfpack Remix)
The biggest single of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's career "Wakanda" took Miami Music Week and the world by storm with its hard hitting drum sections and tribal chants. Enter fellow "Turn It Up" collaborator Wolfpack who aims to civilize the duos animalisitc nature with peak time chord progressions and big room sensibilities. Doing well to transform the track's stripped down rhythms, Wolfpack imbues "Wakanda" with a heavy helping of progressive flair. The familiar chants remain intact but little else is recognizable here, leaving behind a much tamer version of the raucous original. Wolfpack's remix is not alone, a hardstyle and trap rendition are also planned for the coming months.
Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & GTA feat. Wolfpack – Turn It Up (Original Mix)
The evil masterminds behind "Wakanda" and one third of the anthemic "Hit It," put their heads and aural synapses together to create "Turn It Up," their latest unapologetic peak time brain child driven by a thunderous kick and wonky drum lines. Leaving little room for subtlety, blaring sirens and electro house flairs collide with the namesake's vocal line - a tidal wave of gripping percussion in tow. Big room synthwork peaks through the mix, but only momentarily before any semblance of melody is interrupted by yet another aggressive drop. With 2013 still in its infancy, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and GTA have made it abundantly clear that when it comes to feverish percussion with Dutch house touches, these three are at the top of their game.
