TheFatRat – Splinter (Original Mix)
After creating a name for himself with a bevvy of interstellar remixes and production credits on a Lupe Fiasco track, TheFatRat takes his first swing at the original release game with the electro house meets dubstep hybrid "Splinter." Possibly named after a Ninja Turtle training sewer rat, the LA-based producer's first original begins as a funky, vocal stuttered-jewel before quickly transforming into a savagely aggressive dubstep bomb that will catch casual listeners by surprise. Leaving his funky electro house style in the dust for his first release on Spinnin', TheFatRat takes a step outside of his comfort zone with compelling -- and ground-shaking -- results.
Dimitri Vegas, Moguai & Like Mike – Mammoth (Original Mix) [Preview]
Coming on the heels of the Tommorowland ticket announcement is a preview from Belgium’s own Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. The boisterous duo teamed up with German house producer Moguai on “Mammoth,” a suitable name for the massive production from the unlikely trio. The progressive house track eases into a four on the floor beat, throwing in Moguai’s signature tonal sounds and a jump-ready Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike build. Tomorrowland fans have already caught a listen from the festival’s official aftermovie; for everyone else the track will be released March 4 through Spinnin’ Records.
Quintino and Ralvero preview their latest collaboration ‘Jackpot’
Things go supernova when two of dance music's most high energy producers join forces in the studio . "Jackpot" is Quintino and Ralvero's latest big room, electro effort that strikes a perfect balance between both producers sonic styles. Jump music at its finest, the production is built on a foundation of heavy kicks and squealing synthetic stabs. It's slot machine-styled drop and a rumbling kick driven breakdown drive the high-octane original into high gear marking the first official outing from the Dutch duo in 2013.
John Dahlback – Pressure (Original Mix) [Preview]
If Sander Van Doorn and Tiesto have already given an unreleased track airtime, you know it’s going to be huge. The track in question is “Pressure,” Swedish producer John Dahlback’s latest effort. With it's deep slithering synth, relentless, kick-driven bassline and seemingly endless build, "Pressure" is another delightfully frenzied production from the Swedish DJ.
TheFatRat – Splinter (Original Mix) [Preview]
We'd like to think that TheFatRat's upcoming release "Splinter" is paying homage to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Ninja Turtles rodent mentor, but it's more likely that the name is in reference to the haunting melody and monstrous dubstep drop that splinters the track into two distinct parts. His first planned release of 2013, "Splinter" utilizes pitch bended vocal samples to create an eerie arpeggio encompassed by a string-laden, orchestral electro build. Set to be released on January 25th via Spinnin Records, TheFatRat seems to be taking a more aggressive approach to his sound to start 2013.
Firebeatz – Disque (Original Mix) [Preview]
Firebeatz continue on their meteoric rise into the dance music consciousness with the dark, electro house stunner "Disque." Fresh off the release of "Dear New York" and "Here We Fucking Go," the Dutch duo deliver an electro-tinged production. Framed by tightly-wound arpeggios, throaty bass line wobbles, and gut-punching percussion, "Disque" strikes a delicate balance between progressive melodies and electro-industrial grit. Set to be released on December 10th via Spinnin Records, "Disque" marks the 3rd high quality release from Firebeatz in just as many months.
