Listen to Ariana Grande and Zedd’s collaboration ‘Break Free’
Zedd dives deeper into the sea of mainstream acceptance with his latest pop production credit on Ariana Grande's "Break Free." More Disney Channel than dance music, "Break Free," is just a tad too teeny-bopper to warrant any serious attention. Taking an obvious backseat to Grande, Zedd occasionally lets his complextro roots peak through the singer's sugary-sweet vocals but the resulting output feels definitively bipolar. Despite its obvious identity crisis, Grande's top line is too catchy not to sneak itself onto the radio - and the resulting edit will probably cut out the only electro sections in the track (Although, to be fair, "Break Free" will likely earn Zedd credits on another chart-topping hit).
Ariana Grande confirms collab with Zedd, ‘Break Free,’ as next single
In April, Ariana Grande spoke with Billboard about a forthcoming collaboration with "Clarity" producer Zedd and now the 20-year-old vocalist took to Twitter to confirm the collaboration "Break Free" will be her next single. According to Grande, the track will be released in 10 days.
Ariana Grande collaborating with Zedd on upcoming track
Pop star Ariana Grande is taking her sophomore album into the EDM realm with the help of Zedd. Following up her debut album Yours Truly, Grande is working with Zedd on a tune she described as "fantastic and super-experimental for me." She went on to discuss the experience claiming that, "I never thought I’d do an EDM song, but that was an eye-opening experience, and now all I want to do is dance.” After his numerous commercial successes alongside female focuses, Anton and Ariana's collaboration may be the young producer's next big hit.
