Recently premiered on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 radio show, Danny Avila's "Breaking Your Fall" has officially cemented this young producer as the one to watch in 2013. Outshining many of his contemporaries, both behind the decks and in the studio, Danny continues to build his dance music clout with a sonically diverse talent for the craft. Skrillex – Bug Hunt (Wreck-it Ralph) (Noisia Remix)
I must be dreaming... Skrillex produces a track for a Disney movie? Then drum and bass masterminds Noisia remix it? Is this a parallel universe where gritty synthesizers and guttural wobbles is a suitable soundtrack for a kid's movie? To be honest, who knows and who cares - the track rocks. Released on Atlantic Records, Noisia's remix of "Bug Hunt" is bursting at the seams with high energy, disco-driven synthesis. Mutating Skrillex's signature wobbles into a sort of drum and bass, dubstep, nu-disco nightmare, juxtaposing it's own grit with flighty disco flairs.
Exclusive Download: Skrillex – Drop Dead (Blende Remix)
In conjunction with Skrillex and Atlantic Records, Swedish producer Blende has been commissioned to offer his own rendition to "Drop Dead." Premiered last night on Sirius XM and offered up today as a free download, Blende's signature cross of hard-hitting electro and funky disco groove is seen throughout the release.
Shinedown – Unity (Steve Lade Remix) [Preview]
Steve Lade is another young and burgeoning talent bursting onto the scene from Finland. Citing Tiesto as one of his primary influences, his progressive style features huge arena rock chord progressions complimented by gentle melodies and tons of energy. Originally debuted on Max Vangeli's podcast, Steve's interpretation of the alt-rock anthem "Unity" leaves the original's rock aesthetic intact and enhances it with a massive piano roll and big room synthwork. Brent Smith's howling rocker voice paired with Avicii-esque builds combine to create the next big summer remix.
