Betoko & Climbers – Timeline (Original Mix)

We last checked in with Betoko and Climbers earlier this month with Betoko's remix of the Climbers' "Equal Responsibility"-- a track that's been on heavy rotation since its release. This latest track "Timeline" out on James Teej, Voytek Korab, and Jared Simms' My Favorite Robot label on January 7th, accomplishes a little something different. The production pairing drops the pop-laden influences on this one and a delivers a dark instrumental track full of extended synth squelches and counteracting chord play. The Climbers' sultry summer deep house jam "Equal Responsibility" has gotten the remix treatment from three different producers and production teams, but it is very clear Betoko's take on the fun and bouncy original is a track worth remembering.
