Meet Yannick Iluga aka Petite Noir, a 21-year-old producer/singer from Cape Town, South Africa. Now meet Mason and Disco of Doom, two up-and-coming production outfits who have been recently releasing massively inventive dance tracks on the UK-based Bad Life imprint. Petite's debut single "Till We Ghosts" is hauntingly beautiful, his melancholy voice wavering as he sings "I'm never going to be the same again." Mason's remix takes the deep approach, showcasing the vocals and encasing them within a swirling soundscape of understated percussion and deep throaty bass. Much more aggressive and industrial than Mason's remix, Disco of Doom lets the vocals take a backseat to techier sensibilities. Driven by chirpy synthwork and gritty bass, DoD's take is dark and ominous with a build and drop that will send you reeling.
