If you're a frequent visitor of Dancing Astronaut, then you know Gesaffelstein is one of my favorite rising talents. The Parisian native -- who's real name is Mike Levy -- has been creating quite the buzz on the dance music scene this year. From flawless mixing to superb track selection, Gesaffelstein is an act I will continue to keep my eyes on -- and given the opportunity to see a live performance, you dont have to think twice -- I'll be there.

Gesaffelstein returns to the remix front on VCMG's "Aftermaths." This skull-rattling track features oppressively constant drum patterns that switches from subtle punches of bass to repeated jarring chord play.

I know Brodinski and Gesaffelstein are two separate acts, but it is hard to talk about one without the other. Every release from these two in the last year has been intricately developed and wildly unique. Whether it be together or under their own names, Brodinski and Gesaffelstein have been masterfully creating gritty techno tracks in a scene dominated by progressive beats, flighty synths and radio-friendly vocals... with no signs of slowing down or selling out.
