Kaskade – Atmosphere (Hook N Sling Remix)
Part two of the remix package for Kaskade's uber popular "Atmosphere" is out, and on top of remixes from Cave Kings and East & Young lies a stomping rendition of the original from some of dance music's favorite Aussies, Hook N Sling. If "Atmosphere" is an emotional and uplifting song in your mind, this remix revs up the energy for a better festival or mega-club fit.
Hook N Sling & Chris Willis – Magnet (Original Mix)
Hook N Sling's latest original output comes by the way of Chris Willis's powerful vocals on "Magnet." A master at big room, vocally driven outputs, Hook turns to the Guetta-supported vocalist to lead the mix with his sing-a-long destined top line. Aptly titled, "Magnet's" energetic synthwork backed by Willis's gospel-tinged crooning makes for gripping festival fare and is another surefire charter from the Australian producer.
NERVO and Hook N Sling – Reason (ROT Remix)
NERVO and Hook N Sling's runaway smash hit "Reason" was an undeniable anthem during the summer of 2012 and the trio sought out aspiring bedroom producers to take a swing at remixing their festival favorite. Hundreds tried their hand at improving the flawless production and ROT (Republic of Trash) came away victorious with a People's Choice nod from Talenthouse and support from the three Australians. Much more energetic and intense than the original, ROT's approach breathes new life into Liv and Mim's gorgeous vocal output with screaming electro arpeggios and a gut-punching kick drum.
Hook N Sling – Felise (Original Mix) [Free Download]
After previewing The Presets' "Fall" earlier this month, Australian producer Hook N Sling treats fans to a brand new original production - releasing it for free via his Soundcloud. Released to celebrate reaching 30,000 fans on his Facebook page "Felise" is much heavier than Hook's previous outings, developing early with the sort of synthwork that would make Eric Prydz blush. The track's big room progressive sensibilities are sharply matched by a drop with no need for subtlety, resulting in an effort that is both hauntingly melodic and unrelentingly aggressive.
The Presets – Fall (Hook N Sling Mix) [Preview]
Hook N Sling follows up on the runaway success of his collaboration with Nervo, "Reason" with a remix of The Presets' indie dance gem, "Fall." Hook adds some much needed oomph to the track, brightening the tone with a highly developed melody while still showcasing Julian Hamilton's evocative top line. The addition of big room chordplay and a subtle rhythm evolve "Fall" from its indie appeal to newfound main stage viability.
Hook N Sling – Don’t You Know (Original Mix) [Preview]
After the runaway success of his collaboration, "Reason" with fellow Aussies NERVO, Hook N Sling ventures out solo for his next original release "Don't You Know." Hook juxtaposes two competing styles here, delivering a bouncy electro house drop that punches through the nu-disco stabs and charming vocal line that define the track's introduction. Striking a balance between disco grooves and electro energy, Hook serves up another release in his ever-growing and impressive catalog. "Don't You Know" is set to be released via Spinnin Records on April 26th.
