Good Morning Mix – Dirtybird Essential Selection Takeover
Last Friday night, Claude VonStroke and label partner Justin Martin took to the decks of Pete Tong's weekly Essential Selection, and just as we've seen done by the Swedes and more recently Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler, embarked on a two-hour journey showcasing their favorite tracks of the moment and featuring mini-mixes from labelmates Eats Everything and Catz and Dogz.
Dancing Astronaut’s Top 25 Underground Artists of 2012: 15-6
The underground had a big year in the US in 2012 and we only felt it appropriate to highlight some of these amazing artists independently from potentially bigger or more commercial artists in the dance music world today. We considered the year these artists have had in terms of production, live sets, and overall influence. We also generally picked artists we love and admire; artists we feel are extremely important to pushing electronic music forward. This list of 25 names includes legends and young guns alike, but we can assure you that every single one of these artists is incredibly talented and is well worth a listen or a trip to a club for a live set. Picking up where we left off yesterday, we will continue the countdown with our picks from #15 to the #6 spot.
Good Morning Mix – Eats Everything’s ‘Edits Everything’ Essential Mix (12/15/12)
It's been a year since Eats Everything made an Essential Mix appearance, and this time around, the new #13 on Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJs of 2012 poll had a special treat for us. This two hour segment featured an unreasonably large number of incredible edits, bootlegs and reworks by the big man himself. No surprises in his inclusion of pals like Justin Martin, T.E.E.D., and Catz n Dogz but we were tickled by inclusions of Green Velvet, Jacques Da Booty, Kölsch, Paul Simon, and the standout "rewix" of Chicken Lips' "He Not In."
French Fries delivers Space Alarm EP, drives future bass movement forward
First picking up steam back in March with his "Yo Vogue" release on Dirtybird, French Fries is back with a four track EP entitled Space Alarm. Admittedly the "future bass" or "post-dubstep" sound French Fries represents is not for everyone, but if you can get into it, it sounds insanely good.

Fresh off the May release of Ghettos and Gardens the album, Justin Martin and Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird imprint presents us with volume 1 of the remix package. Free Download: Bondax – Baby I Got That (Justin Martin’s Endless Summer Remix)
When Justin Martin isn't busy championing his unique big-booty-bass techno or acting as the current face of Claude VonStroke's Dirtybird imprint, he's in the studio reconstructiong tracks like Bondax's "Baby I Got That," and giving them away for free to wind your summer down in glorious fashion. On this latest offering, Martin uses lite hints of echoing vocals around great percussion work to make for a perfect track to close your summer out with.
