Mixify introduces Clubcast, streams the DJ to the club from anywhere in the world
Originally started as a live streaming service for EDM in 2012, Mixify has grown to account for a sizeable presence in the electronic music industry. With a roster boasting over 15,000 DJs, who all stream their sets through the platform, the company has now entered into partnerships with venue owners and event promoters to offer the same interactive experience to any event that is hosting one of the DJs on the Mixify roster. Speaking to Techcrunch, Mixify founder David Moricca discussed the new product's business model; “Mixify Clubcast is sold on a per-event basis, in many cases we’re doing booking of a big-name DJ as part of the service. it works particularly well for markets where they don’t have the market to support booking for these acts or the access.” Moricca expects the Clubcast service to be in 40 markets by August of this year, giving venues the ability to live stream DJ sets for couchravers worldwide. “The focus is really on growing Clubcast sales and marketing — particularly on the international level. It’s about them growing the brand and growing the sales pipeline.”
