Tony Senghore – Netto (Original Mix)
With his recent creation 'Netto' (which he released on own Horehaus imprint) Swedish producer Tony Senghore proves once again that he isn't afraid to get weird. The funky futuristic tune brings back memories of the '90s acid house craze; insert a driving rhythm, distorted low-end snarls and airy female moans and you have a fierce little weapon that straddles the fence between dark techno and something completely unclassifiable.
Maluca – Trigger (ETC! ETC! Remix)
This is a track that's had so many remixes done that it's actually difficult to find the original. Through all the noise, though, ETC! ETC!'s take on "Trigger" manages to stand out as the perfect combination of high-octane build-ups and sexy rhythmic patterns. Trapped-up and supercharged by isolated drops, it bears little resemblance to Maluca Mala's tribal-esque original, but it's one of those rare occasions where the producer has pulled off the departure so well that it's actually a good thing.
Dillon Francis’ debut album is worthy of the hype
Everything about Dillon Francis's debut album is typical Dillon Francis, from the title to the album art to the bass drops. When an album gets as much pre-release attention as Money Sucks, Friends Rule did, expectations can often soar to unrealistic proportions. In the case of this album, those expectations have been gradually rising since February - but from what we've heard, it doesn't look like they've been unrealistic.
