Popeska – Bang On Some Shit (Original Mix) [Free Download]
The Kindergarten understudy turned electro house stand out, Popeska, unleashes the first monster in his #OneTrackADay free download series. Aptly titled, "Bang On Some Shit," the Wolfgang Gartner mentored maestro fiddles with vocoded vocals and chirpy stabs rather than thunderous kicks. A stuttering collection of hollowed out percussion and strange effect work, "Bang On Some Shit," is less aggressive than its name would suggest - instead Popeska delivers a flail friendly electro stunner without some cliche big room drop.
DA Exclusive: Wolfgang Gartner & Popeska – We Are The Computers (Original Mix) [Free Download]
Electro house pioneer Wolfgang Gartner pairs up with his own Kindergarten Records understudy, Popeska, for his return to the dance music spotlight on "We Are The Computers." A rebirth of classic electro underpinnings, the duo's collaboration is reminiscent of the electro of old, featuring funk-fueled house grooves, and a 16-bit topcoat that charms, rather than startles, its listeners. Toss in some robotic vocal chops, a dabble of disco and punchy percussion and "We Are The Computers" soundly satisfies that nagging itch for groove-laden electro.
Popeska feat. Denny White – Heart of Glass (Conro Remix)
Kindergarten Records continues to expand its electro house pedigree with the release of Popeska's Heart of Glass Remixes EP. Canadian newcomer Conro first appeared on Wolfgang Gartner's estimable imprint on last year's Yearbook Volume I and returns to form on his rousing rendition of "Heart of Glass." Originally released in February, Popeska's top-line driven output receives an added jolt of chirpy synthwork at the hands of Conro, pairing indie-rock vocals with crisply-produced progressions and festival-friendly percussion.
Popeska feat. Denny White – Heart of Glass (Original Mix) [Preview]
Kindergarten Records disciple, Popeska, embraces the melodic side of electro on his forthcoming release "Heart of Glass." The first in an upcoming series of Kindergarten releases, the shifty cut builds with embellished vocals and arena pop progressions. Those looking for a bit of electro grit need not worry, Popeska strips the track down to its essentials in typical Kindergarten fashion. Well-designed and intricately laid out, the Wolfgang Gartner understudy represents his host label with ease.
Popeska ft. Luciana – The New Kings (Original Mix)
Kindergarten Records newcomer and Wolfgang Gartner protege, Popeska, returns with his latest original since September's "Karmameter." Joined by dance music siren Luciana, the young producer utilizes a scintillating top line melody to push Luciana's sultry vocal cuts to the forefront of the production. Understated electro elements and a driving kick allow the vocals to breathe, framing them with charming piano rolls reminiscent of some of electro house's most prominent stars. His second original release under his belt, Popeska has done well to establish himself as a promising young hopeful in 2013's freshman class, representing the Kindergarten Records imprint with style.
