Produced in Berlin shortly after the news of Frankie Knuckles passing, Sicarii's remix of "The Ones You Love" serves as a standout tribute to the Godfather of House music. Adding a 2015 twist to the Chicago house titan's hit, the NY-based producer stripped out the instrumental and built a bustling transmission under the original's throwback vocals. A homage to both Frankie and the place he called home, there's handful of stealthy Chi-town samples thrown in as flourishes - including sounds from Millennium Park and the CTA "L" train announcer. Available as a free download, Sicarii's homage to the late, great, Frankie Knuckles comes ahead of an official remix for Maroon 5's "Sugar" on Interscope Records.
