Miami's house revival is well underway thanks to acts like Sluggers. Appearing out of nowhere in late 2013 with their OWSLA-debuted Phantom Fade EP, the enigmatic duo have put out some of the most razor sharp club cuts in recent memory. From "Courtesy" to "Contact," Sluggers unique approach to their beat work has earned them top honors in warehouse circles and their latest production follows suit. The Miami duo look back to 2007 and Aaron Smith's "Dancin'" for inspiration here, pitching the classic top line down deep into the underground. A flurry of hyper-violent percussion, tripped out stabs, and a harsh yet undeniably infectious groove redefine the poppy original into something more deserving of the Sluggers stamp.
