The Chemical Brothers release a bonus track from ‘Born in the Echoes’

Seasoned electronic music fans have been blessed by a bona fide Chemical Brothers renaissance this year. In 2015, the duo has graced us with a well-received tour and their first full album in five years, Born in the Echoes. Last week, they released a cut that didn’t make the primary album roster.

“Wo Ha” is propelled by eerie rushes of white noise while pleasant synth-pop beats traverse a malignant musical terrain of sinister pads, dissonantly broken sitar, and the ominously ubiquitous vocal sample which lends the song its name. Eventually, erratically thumping percussion cuts through the darkness, and the initially optimistic synth-pop loop emerges unscathed and unadulterated.
