Tastemaker channel turned indie label Majestic Casual have been keeping close tabs on emerging talent since turning their eyes to the more traditional industry model. For an artist on rise, Pham fits the criterion with seeming ease, landing off a cool run of well received original material to deliver a striking first original single for the label. Anuka’s on-point vocal performance is the real one-up for ‘Talk To Me,’ a track that immediately benefits from Pham’s cool and collected beat work from the outset, but really finds its feet weaved in Anuka’s slick verses. If Majestic are out to be taken seriously as a label contender for the coming years then tracks like ‘Talk To Me’ are a surefire step in the right direction.
