Stream Illenium’s full Middlelands set

As often happens after festivals, an epic set has made its way onto SoundCloud. This particular offering is from Illenium‘s incredible Middlelands performance last weekend.

The Coloradoan producer kicked his set off with his original song “Afterlife,” and then asked the crowd if they were ready to hear some new music. Judging by the audible cheering on the audio recording, fans were definitely ready. The following song, which starts at about the 1:30 mark, is very much a signature Illenium sound, and hopefully it’ll be part of his forthcoming album, anticipated to arrive by late summer. From there, the set flows into a melodic rhythm of the producer’s original music, sprinkled with other fan favorites like Porter Robinson and Madeon‘s “Shelter.”

Illenium said in a recent Reddit AMA that his goal is to get his sets to the point where they’re 100 percent original music. He’s definitely close to getting there, and says his upcoming EDC set will be comprised of 90 percent of his own music.
