This week Dancing Astronaut’s Throwback Thursday features the dance sensation that consumed 2006, ‘What a Feeling’ by Peter Luts. Debuting at number 24 on the Billboard Dance Charts and eventually making it’s way to number 1, ‘What a Feeling’ has risen among the ranks to become a classic dance anthem across the globe. Enjoy.

Mr. Hudson ft. Kanye West – Supernova (Calvin Harris Remix)
Originally co-written by British pop-sensation Mr. Hudson and the infamous hip hop frontman Kanye West, ‘Supernova’ debuted in the UK back in May of 2009. However, it was not until now, with a little help from club legend and Dancing Astronaut favorite Calvin Harris, that ‘Supernova’ has finally found it’s true potential as a club centerpiece. Combining the fantastic vocals of Mr. Hudson and Kanye, Harris found a way to navigate the song in a more electronic house-inspired path. Enjoy!
Medina – You & I (Deadmau5 Remix)
Since we’re in the spirit of remixes lately here at Dancing Astronaut, I thought I would throw out a recent favorite of my own. Canadian producer and DJ, Deadmau5 has been on fire lately with a number of hits including the incredibly popular ‘Ghosts N Stuff’. Now he returns to the studio remixing Danish pop singer’s hit single ‘You and I’, creating a brilliant blend of captivating vocals and house beats. This is little mellower than we’ve been posting lately, but hey, we all have slow days right? Enjoy.
Tune Brothers ft. Tesz Milan – Finally 2009
With the partnering of German DJ’s Mark Haegele and Matthias Kraus in 1996, the Tune Brothers were born. Performing mostly in the Stuttgart region, the duo has slowly made their way up the DJ ranks, earning international respect and recognition along the way. Their new single ‘Finally 2009′ is a catchy house-inspired club banger that, combined with the soaring vocals of Tesz Milan, is sure to go far. Enjoy!
Marc Mysterio ft. Samantha Fox – Tomorrow (original mix)
Canadian DJ Marc Mysterio has brought his expertise to World Class Records & Amerada Music for the past several years, blending them into internationally recognized and respected labels. Now however, he has taken the time to release a project of his own entitled ‘Tomorrow’ featuring the vocals of iconic Samantha Fox. The track showcases Marc’s signature versatility and genre transcending talent. It’s a little slow to get started, but trust me its worth the wait. Enjoy!

Eddie Thoneick ft. Andy P – Love Under Pressure
Eddie Thoneick is a self-styled “musical whirlwind,” but it wasn’t until 2006 that his single ‘Love Sensation’ found favor with the DJ-powers-that-be (think Pete Tong, Axwell, David Guetta, etc…). Since then Eddie has been hammering at it non-stop, teaming up with Dutch DJ Berget Lewis, and even appearing in his own weekly radio slot on the famed French station, Radio FG. Eddie’s new single ‘Love Under Pressure’ combines the soaring vocals of Andy P, with the filthy electro beats Eddie has come to be known for. Enjoy!
Throwback Thursday: Cabin Crew – Star to Fall
I’d personally like to welcome Dancing Astronauts everywhere to the inaugural ‘Throwback Thursday.’ From this day forth, on every thursday we will be posting not a brand new track, as is our dancing astronaut inclination, but rather a song from our past that has made a significant impact on the world of dance music. And what better a way to kick off such a tradition than with Cabin Crew’s ‘Star to Fall’? Released in 2004, this remix of a 1988 classic by Boy Meets World, combines just the right amount of playful dance-pop with a solid drum and bass beat to create the perfect blend of dance floor ease. Rocking clubs everywhere since 2004 (which in our scene is a LONG time), this is Cabin Crew’s ‘Star to Fall’. Enjoy!
