Axwell announces Miami Music Week shows at Amnesia and Surfcomber with Thomas Gold, Arty, Calvin Harris
Just last week Axwell told us to save two dates for him in Miami, and now we can tell you why. Axtone will be kicking off its festivities on Wednesday March 21st at Amnesia, where Axwell will be joined by Jacques Lu Cont, Thomas Gold, and NO_ID — sound familiar? The party will continue on Sunday March 25th — the final day of Ultra Music Festival — at Surfcomber Beach Club, where Axwell recorded part of an Essential Mix last year. The twelve hour event will run from 11AM to 11PM and has an equally impressive lineup: Axwell, Thomas Gold, Arty, Funkagenda, Michael Calfan, and NO_ID, with special guest Calvin Harris. Tickets for both shows will go on sale at 10AM EST on Thursday February 16th.
Alongside the event announcements, Axwell is hosting a contest that will allow one lucky DJ to open at both Amnesia and Surfcomber. Two mixes are required for entry, which will be judged by Axwell, Thomas Gold, and NO_ID themselves. The winner not only gets to open at the events, but will receive airfare to Miami, hotel accommodations, $500, and a meeting with Axwell. Check Axwell’s Facebook page for official information.
