Announcing Dancing Astronaut’s October Demo Competition

Back in August, we decided to host our first-ever demo competition for the many aspiring producers who reach out to us every day. The result was a great success — Tmare’s impressive “Los Angeles” was an excellent lead-in for September’s first episode of Axis.

We’re proud to announce our decision to make the demo competition a monthly feature, to give credit to budding talents and enrich our mixes with the best of those who are just one big break away.

Click past the jump for more details:

As with our last competition, this is open to ORIGINAL TRACKS & REMIXES ONLY. Unofficial remixes or bootlegs qualify, as long as they use official remix parts/stems. Mash-ups, edits, and mixes will not be considered.

How to enter:

  1. Follow us on Soundcloud.
  2. Submit your original track/remix to our Soundcloud dropbox.
  3. Go to Dancing Astronaut’s Facebook Page.
  4. Under the “DA Demo Competition” Wall Post, comment with the name of your track & why you think you should win.
  5. Share the post with your friends and ask them to vote by Liking your original Comment.

We will check back at the end of this week to see which track has the most votes. While Facebook likes will be factored into the decision, a committee of Dancing Astronaut staff will select a winner based on originality, potential and production quality.

Contest ends Sunday 10/14, 12PM EST.

The winning track will be featured on November’s first episode of Dancing Astronaut’s Axis!

Important: Submissions from producers who do not follow all steps outlined in the submission process above will be disqualified.
