Laidback Luke and Gina Turner release EP under collaboration project Nouveau Yorican
Since 2010, newly weds Laidback Luke and Gina Turner have been collaborating under the moniker Nouveau Yorican. The name has coasted under the radar over the years, but has been behind big hits like “Chiuso” and “Nueva.” The theme of the side project ventures into the more stripped down version of house music — where artificial synth work is replaced with classic house vibes. “Diga Me” is their 6th production as a duo and the first since the two tied the knot last fall. The EP features a “Deep Mix” that showcases Turner’s techier and more tribal side and a “Main Mix” that’s more atune to Luke’s big-room styling.
