Coming off a successful Main Stage appearance at during weekend two of Ultra Music Festival, Adrian Lux has returned to the production side with a preview from his forthcoming album. In true Lux fashion, “Damaged” rests heavily on a vocal, but the track’s edited guitar tones and minimal drum builds make it feel more like pop-rock than progressive house. The snippet of the radio edit features emphasized melancholic lyrics, a subtle melody, and no real bassline. Without a release date yet for neither the track or the album, only time will tell if Lux will continue in the stripped down vein of “Damaged” or return with another club classic.
