Axwell needs little introduction. And it doesn’t have to be said that Swedish House Mafia had yet to exist in 2007. Digging an Axwell set from 2007 out of the archives, sweet talk of “the good old days” in unnecessary — the music speaks for itself. This near 90-minute set live from Australia’s Summadayze festival in 2007 features progressive house when progressive house was still, well, progressive house. As far as the tracklist goes, even Axwell die-hards wouldn’t foresee such a selection from the Swede, which gives this live set a key component rarely found today: unpredictability.
