Pompeya – 90 (Fred Falke Remix)
Renowned French producer Fred Falke is always in-demand. Whether he is working with singer Ellie Goulding, indie rock band Grizzly Bear, or on his own material, Falke is known (and coveted) for bringing a level of detail and energy to his work that few else can. His latest remix, a new take on the song “90,” by Moscow pop band Pompeya, is a prime example of his ability to inject a track with shining, joyous energy. What starts as a simple vocal snippet and guitar lick soon explodes into a full-blown disco jam, complete with the full vocal performance and sweet, soaring melody line. Flourishes of production and a warm-and-fuzzy synthesizer on the chorus bring the whole tune together into syrupy, blissful harmony.
