Route 94 – My Love (Original Mix)
If you’ve had your ear tuned to the movements of modern house music then you shouldn’t need introducing to British trailblazer Route 94. He’s remixed MK’s “Always,” been ornamented with the support of Annie Mac and now, takes his melodic club tendencies outwards with a major label debut not to be shrugged at. Though this talk of renaissance may be getting a little old hat now, Route 94’s sound is the epitome of these exciting times of limelight attention. His balance of striking melodic composition, club-primed beats and a solid topline from Jess Glynne is everything that is right about the genre in 2013: a blend as commercially viable as it is satisfying on the dance floor. As consistent as he is constructively poised for the year ahead, “My Love” proves the highest point to date from one of the UK’s most distinctive house contenders by a long stretch.
