My Digital Enemy – Shamen (Original Mix)
Between consistent releases, landmark live stints and the formation of their Vudu Records imprint, My Digital Enemy proved to be British house music’s undisputed trailblazers throughout 2014. Back on form for the New Year, their inaugural label cut of the year sees the Brighton-based duo take to their homegrown imprint with a cut already racking serious attention from Pete Tong and the global dance community. Their low-end house stylings are especially on-point for “Shamen,” using fluid grooves and that all together clarity to cut to the core of MDE’s appeal: house music with striking identity. Theirs is a long and historically crowded genre, but My Digital Enemy emerges as a force to be watched with very close attention for the coming 12 months.
