MAKJ preps upcoming single ‘Let’s Get F*cked Up’ with Lil’ Jon
Lil’ Jon first tried his hand at MC upon entering the electronic music collective, but he’s since found himself a niche since joining Afrojack on Ultra’s main stage. His formula with DJ Snake on “Turn Down For What” has made for some of the most recognizable jingle shouts in party music, and it’s trending popularity isn’t dying down with the hit’s airplay. Enter MAKJ.
Between progressive electro and main stage primed hits, the rising star is taking a page from the “Turn Down For What” playbook for his newest single. Now surfacing as “Let’s Get F*cked Up,” MAKJ latches onto radio-contagious sounds that border acceptance in the electronic and pop realms, but steers the latter route with the enlisting of Lil’ Jon for the soon-to-be Ultra Records release. Between those provocative vocal hooks, the trending trap drums, and electronica safer for airwaves than the lyrics, MAKJ strikes radio gold with the impending “Let’s Get F*cked Up” — or as some will soon refer to it as, “Turn Down For What 2.0.”
