DJ Cassidy’s debut album Paradise Royale features an impressive and diverse roster of contributors, including pop star Usher, indie luminaries Chromeo, and disco legend Nile Rodgers. With such impressive features throughout the record, it’s entirely unsurprising that Paradise Royale‘s lead single – “Calling All Hearts” – comes with remixes from equally influential artists.

And who’s been more influential to dance music than the late pioneer Frankie Knuckles? The Godfather of House teamed up with Eric Kupper to take on “Calling All Hearts,” and the end result is predictably gorgeous. The original version’s disco elements shine, and Robin Thicke and Jessie J’s voices somehow take over parts of the song without ever evoking memories of either “Blurred Lines” or “Domino.” The remix is one of Frankie Knuckles’ last, and it’s every bit as breathtaking as you’d hope it to be.
