Fox 2000 puts wheels in motion for film adaptation of Pasquale Rotella memoir, ‘Insomniac: The Life And Times of Pasquale Rotella’

Now that Under The Electric Sky has seen its path toward stardom, Fox 2000 Pictures has acquired the rights to the as of yet unfinished Insomniac: The Life And Times of Pasquale Rotella, a memoir that Rotella is writing with A Million Little Pieces author James Frey. With a publication date predicted for next summer, the book will paint the portrait of one of dance music’s most-recognized names. Pasquale’s memoir, of course, will also divulge details of Insomniac, the Electric Daisy Carnival series, and the intricate dance music culture that he has seen evolve over the last few decades.

Fox 2000’s goal for the film is to further break through the cracks of the electronic dance music lifestyle and to approach Rotella’s life with an “edgy 8 Mile/Social Network” mindset. No director, writer or actors have been assigned as of late, but stay tuned to Dancing Astronaut for further updates.
