Three Galantis originals receive remixes on new EP [EP Review]
From official remixes to free downloads given away by producers looking to leave their mark, Galantis‘ originals have consistently been reformed. While the duo and their imprint have previously opted for remix packages from multiple artists focusing on the same song, the newest EP brings along a five-track selection of reinvented productions.
With up and coming talents like Elephante and Years lending their talents to “Smile” and “Help,” the two beloved tracks are each injected with further melodic pedigree. Another highly-touted young talent throwing his hat into the fray, Moska adds his frenetic touch to “You” and the resulting rendition has a distinguishable Dutch house flair. CID and Max Elto round out the surprise EP, and the two most familiar producers of the group add their respective touch to “Help” and “Smile.” With names like Tom Starr, twoloud, and Kaskade having previously taken on Galantis originals, the duo’s newest EP showcases five fresh renditions that have the potential to match the stamina of remixes gone by.
