Redondo & Boiler – Sunshine (Original Mix)
Chart success and admirable house aptitude are the industrious plates that Dutch duo Redondo has spun throughout the course of 2014. Back at camp Spinnin’ Deep to follow-up the highly successful “Love Too Deep,” the Amsterdam pair invite Boiler for their latest stab at the heartstrings of the burgeoning modern house market.
Compared to the more sugary and retro demeanour of their chart-topping predecessor, “Sunshine” is a murky house gem with attitude. Knocking the uplifting top line a little off centre and pervading the senses with aggressive bass wobbles is the route to perfectly a dysfunctional house hit, one that breaks the mould on an otherwise tedious time for the genre in the commercial spotlight. It seems only right that the Dutch would take an immensely popularized strand of the genre forward one step, but Redondo seal a significant perch at the upper echelon of European house music’s global spike once again for 2014.
