Giorgio Moroder adds Markus Schulz to long list of collaborators for upcoming project
Giorgio Moroder once lead the production charge in disco, paving a path for dance music and even more so for its lifespan. Decades later, the legend reemerged as a standout contributor to Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories and subsequently to the world he helped create. Beyond his “Giorgio by Moroder” success, the Donna Summer hit-maker has released new material on the heels of a full-length project.
His upcoming studio album is immediately one of this year’s most anticipated, with its list of collaborators getting longer and more impressive as its unknown release date approaches. Names like Madeon and Lana Del Rey have been said to be in the mix, as have the likes of Charlie XCX and Britney Spears.
The featured artists offer little indication of how the LP will sound, other than that it will certainly be diverse. Adding another element of diversity and mystery, Moroder confirms that he’s been working with Markus Schulz on a new track, telling the Twitterverse that it’s “evolving” and that they’ve “got it.”
More information to come on new music from Giorgio, although it couldn’t come soon enough.
I’m liking how this track with @MarkusSchulz is evolving. We’ve got it!
