Skream’s next album is coming out on Crosstown Rebels
Details surrounding Skream‘s new album continue to arrive in small news bites. First revealing to Annie Mac in November that he had a “dark” album arriving in 2015, fans were given few facts to work with. His then-new track, “Pernicious,” was the one hint listeners could use to predict what was to come.
Since then Oliver Jones has officially, yet unofficially, moved over to Damian Lazarus’ imprint, Crosstown Rebels. Though he had an informal start with Crosstown with his late 2014 remix of Ali Love’s “Perfect Picture,” the move will be sealed when he premieres “Still Lemonade” on February 23rd.
Regarding his forthcoming record, Skream commented, “‘Still Lemonade’ was the first track I finished in a long time that I felt completely happy with and was ready to play out. I didn’t tell anyone it was by me when I first started playing it and the reaction was explosive. It’s a perfect example of the direction I’m taking with my productions.”
