Major Lazer plan to follow up ‘Peace Is The Mission’ with another album this year
Inthemix got the scoop from Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire that the explosive project already has another LP primed and ready to follow up their forthcoming Peace Is The Mission album. In an interview with the Australian outlet, Fire said that the trio’s next album will be called Music Is The Weapon and should be out by the end of the year. The only thing holding them up is choosing picking the tracklist; “We have about two more albums worth of material.” This will be the group’s fourth album since they got their start back in 2009 with Guns Don’t Kill People… Lazers Do.
The trio’s collaboration with DJ Snake and MO, “Lean On” is already destined to be one of the year’s top tracks, and with another albums’ worth of material on deck for the second half of the year, there’s no question that 2015 is the Year of the Lazer.
