As John ’00’ Fleming (j00f) has said several times over the past year, Rick Pier O’Neil has been slaying the progressive genre lately with his captivating productions. Released on Beatport under Old SQL Recordings, his remix of Carl Hendrix’s “Sunrise” is no exception to the trend he has been setting. Though the remix is written in the same key and tempo as the original, O’Neil adds a more bass-heavy twist as sounds from the lower end of the spectrum define their presence throughout the track. The drum samples also take on more depth, adding a more vibrant flair to his interpretation of the song.
