Mike Cervello & Stoltenhoff – Uzumaki (Original Mix)

Yellow Claw’s Barong Family are getting good at providing noisy tracks for the scattered festival main stages. Their latest comes from Mike Cervello, who racks a series of impressive collaborations for his first formal outing for the label here in 2015. Departing from the more generic nature of the EP’s namesake A-side, ‘Uzumaki’ alongside Stoltenhoff oozes heavyset attitude from star to finish, giving a dancehall twist to the otherwise heavy handed big room sound that dominates this four track debut. It’s pretty clear where Barong Family stands to make a lasting legacy within the crowded musical space, with “Uzumaki” playing as testament to their reckless musical agenda being well on course to flourish across the globe.
