Budding LA-based vocalist Shoffy is making waves with his smooth brand of lyrical finesse, still riding the success of his recent single “Breathe.” The original, a bedroom-primed slow jam, pushes sensual rhythms accented by clinking percussion, all carried by Shoffy’s airy R&B. The tune is the perfect groundwork for an inventive remix, and LA’s deep bass guru AC Slater nails the job perfectly.
Flipping the tune into a boisterous, elbow-throwing house cut, AC Slater keeps his roll going as he pitches another funky dance floor igniter out there like clockwork. The remix pays due respect to the infectious vocals, wiring key pieces to a wobbling bass line as AC gives Shoffy’s standout selection a groovy Night Bass makeover.
