A few months ago, a number of Mad Decent and OWSLA artists began playing out a wonky bounce-influenced remix of Valentino Khan’s “Deep Down Low.” While a pack of heavy hitters were given official remixing privileges, dapp’s rework of the track holds a special place in the hearts of producers and fans alike. With his new track “Fuck it Up,” dapp merges the trending bassline house sound with big room styling. The new track is certainly a departure from his last remix, but that happens to be refreshing; dapp refuses to be defined by a single formula or sound. dapp’s catalog isn’t overly extensive, but each one of his releases lives up to a standard of quality not always seen from upcoming producers.
