Watch This: BBC’s ‘Daft Punk Unchained’ trailer
Moving past the cinematic take of Daft Punk during the summer flick titled “Eden,” Daft Punk are once again returning without any new music. Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, Daft Punk Unchained is the first independent documentary that explores the upbringing of dance music’s most elusive pair. With Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Kanye West, and Pete Tong slated to make cameos, the documentary just released its first English-language trailer after the film was debuted in French over the summer.
The trailer quickly showcases a few of the pair’s most iconic moments, as a black mask wearing duo explains why they keep their faces hidden. Brief glimpses of the duo’s now-legendary 2006 performance at Coachella also permeate through the two minute trailer, before an excited Neil Patrick Harris introduces the French producers. The last frame teases Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo taking off his iconic helmet in what seems like a vast desert… one final tease before the documentary sees is officially released.
