Watch an unimpressed Alison Wonderland win at everything in the video for ‘Games’

Alison Wonderland displays her talents beyond music in the official video for “Games,” the fourth single off of her debut album Run. The video, directed by fellow Australian Prad Sen, interprets the song’s title in three ways, showing a comically unenthusiastic Alison demonstrate her agility (and gymnastics skills) on the football field, prove her mental cunning at the chess board, and bring down two men in back-to-back karate matches. The team of director and DJ harnessed all possible stereotypes in each situation and lampooned them, making a video that is acutely aware of its ridiculous extremes.

“The idea for ‘Games’ came out of using the song title just to see how far and silly we could expand on the concept of games, competitiveness and sports,” said Sen. “I thought the idea of Alison totally winning at everything, but at the same time being really over it and unenthusiastic would be funny.” His idea translates to screen- the last shot of an enthusiastic crowd jumping around Alison, trophy-bearing and utterly disinterested, is a dichotomy that will undoubtedly bring a laugh.
