Baauer previews unreleased tracks in new mix for Triple J
Baauer‘s progression as an esteemed artist has been a satisfying story to watch. His commercial success from “Harlem Shake” eventually proved to be somewhat of a hurdle in the young Harry Rodrigues’ career, but as the buzz behind internet-sweeping finally began to settle, Baauer slipped into the shadows for a much-needed break as he truly got down to work.
Dropping ß in late 2014 to ensure fans knew the best of Baauer had yet to be seen, the “Clang” producer is gearing up for his debut full-length record. While details behind the release are still in the works, he has taken to the decks at Australia’s Triple J via hometown hero disk jockey Nina Las Vegas’ radio show.
In opening with unreleased material and keeping the mix brimming with cuts from RL Grime, Rustie, G-Buck, Mr. Carmack, and TWRK, Baauer delivers an explosive mix, reflective of his grueling year on tour while fine-tuning an album that’s reportedly “moments away.”
