The end of an era: Nina Las Vegas is leaving Triple J after 11 years

Radio may be one step closer to being truly dead. Australia’s most beloved disk jockey, Nina Las Vegas, is hanging up her dubplates at Triple J after over a decade of service as she prepares to establish her own record label. At the center of Australia’s trends as they expanded to a point of interest within the global dance market, Nina’s role at Triple J was critical in putting her country on the map. But now, her attention is set elsewhere as she makes way for a new chapter in her career: NLV Records.

As she leaves her post as the mainstay jockey at Triple J, don’t be surprised to see Nina Las Vegas popping up in the states much more regularly. In fact, as names like Anna Lunoe, Flume, Alison Wonderland and What So Not continue to carve out notable success in the states, expect NLV to join those ranks and bring her talents stateside in her newfound free time.

With the establishment of her own recording imprint, things are looking up for the renowned Aussie DJ. Though her newly vacated post at Triple J awaits a replacement, Nina is off to greener pastures following an incredibly successful 11 years of radio. The time has finally come for her to jump in and see what other platforms are out there waiting to be dominated.
