The Detroit-native has built a career on mastering a distinguished electro-soul sound, working in his skills as a saxophonist on his productions, delivering grooves that lie somewhere between a smoking lounge and a dance floor. Now, one of trap music’s most exciting prospects, NGHTMRE, is stepping up to remix GRiZ’s “Stop Trippin'” into something that packs a little more punch.

Over-filtering the original’s wailing sax interludes and splicing together key vocal samples from the hook, NGHTMRE twists the track into his own piece with splitting loops and pounding drum work. Hanging onto key melodic elements from the original mix, NGHTMRE modifies GRiZ’s familiar soulful style with another innovative trap-inspired rework.
