PAWSA is an unparalleled newcomer on the UK underground circuit. Already calling MOOD and Nurvous records devout label cohorts, his own Solid Grooves imprint has shown positive signs of life since its inception back in September. Taking the reigns of the label’s sophomore release, ‘Event Horizon’ leads an otherwise raw and unapologetic stand of his scratchy house getup.
Stripped to bare grooves, rigid percussion and the occasional bout of sample work, ‘Even Horizon’ is a class-A example of where some artists are redefining the simple nature of the club record to cut through the noise of the genre’s more stale exports.
