Husky – If You Want Me (feat. Kimono)
Australian deep house figure Husky recently released his debut LP Break Free. Filled with sumptuous grooves and catchy melodies, its opener “If You Want Me” is a perfect tone-setter for the rest of its eleven tracks. Kimono’s soulful voice is the centerpiece of the composition, flowing over simplistic synth progressions and a bassline reminiscent of a 70s movie soundtrack. It’s a perfect embodiment of Husky’s nostalgic house sound, one which shot him to popularity as music fans increasingly seek out pieces that provide sanctuary from overly-produced commercial electro chart-toppers of the modern EDM era. “If You Want Me” along with the rest of Break Free is currently available for purchase through iTunes.
