Milwaukee-based producer Chris Siegel has spent the past two years refining his style as half of electro-soul group Kiings. His first solo production, “Jersey,” is his jazz-influenced take on the distinctive Jersey club sound.

Spliced R&B vocals and syncopated instruments hold their own over the bouncy Jersey club bassline. The track balances the nostalgic quality of Jersey club with contemporary future-inspired components. Siegel describes the track as “an ode to Jersey Club, 90’s R&B, and Timbaland-esque foreign instrumentation.” He’ll be touring with Milwaukee music collective Noh Life throughout the Midwest until February.
