DJ Sliink adds a Jersey club touch to RL Grime’s ‘Scylla’
The promo run for RL Grime‘s recent debut studio album Void has been extended once again with a set of fantastic reworks. Of the various remixes that differ in genre, artistic direction, and sound design, DJ Sliink‘s work on “Scylla” is perhaps the most daring musical venture on the entire project. A wicked blend of bass genres form a relentless percussive assault around the original production, coming to a head with the inevitable Jersey club touch from the style’s leading artist. While not a massive departure from the original, the production is certainly worthy of its official remix status, and succeeds on many levels for DJ Sliink’s further advancement as an artist in the electronic music sphere.
