Callie Reiff releases an agressive minimix for NEST HQ
Callie Reiff burst on to the scene roughly a year ago and almost immediately began making waves. This in itself should be impressive, but the fact that the New York City native is only 16 years old makes it doubly so. Skills, however, are independent of age and the wunderkind producer’s abilities are so advanced that she has already booked supporting performances for the likes of Zedd, Jauz, Madeon, and Destructo.
Reiff’s growing profile has since caught the eye of Skrillex and his NEST HQ media platform, delivering a new 40-minute minimix. Reiff cleverly manages her mix, transitioning smoothy between the disparate house and dubstep/trap tempos. More impressively, while focusing on rigid and aggressive tracks, Reiff manages to maintain a palpable groove throughout. She plays many of her own tracks and also premieres numerous IDs in this mix. Reiff also displays a deep knowledge of the scene with well known artists, such as MUST DIE! and Habstrakt, having their tracks mixed with numerous less known producers.
