In the midst of his nationwide tour alongside friends SNBRN and Shaun Frank, LA-based producer Dr. Fresch has made time for a bass-heavy rework of Baby Eazy E’s record “Gangsta Gangsta” off the rapper’s finely-curated Westcoast G-House Compilation remix EP. Packed full of garage synths, deep bass lines and unrelenting wobbles, Fresch provides a textured, heart-pounding take on this festival-primed anthem yet maintains the “gangsta” attitude of the original. Dr. Fresch has a simple cure for those weekday blues: more bass.
The four-track compilation features remixes from Ryan Collins, Bijou and Thee Cool Cats, and is available now via Serious Pimp Records.
